Landscaping & Design
Landscapes designed for how you live — and where you live.
Good landscaping starts with a plan that fits your property, your budget, and Colorado's climate. We design and build outdoor spaces that look good the day they're finished and keep looking good as they grow in.
We work with you on layout, plant selection, bed shapes, and materials. That can mean a full redesign of the yard or improving one area at a time as budget allows.
Because we've worked in the Aurora and Denver area for over 20 years, we lean toward plants and designs that are proven here — things that handle our sun, hail, dry air, and freeze-thaw winters.
We'll be upfront during design about maintenance. Some landscapes need regular care and some are built to mostly take care of themselves; we'll help you choose the level that fits your life.

Field notes
What 20+ years here taught us
Most of the Denver metro sits in USDA hardiness zones 5b to 6a, so we design around plants rated for those winters.
With only about 14 to 15 inches of annual precipitation in Denver, plant groupings by water need (hydrozoning) make a landscape much easier and cheaper to irrigate.
Many Colorado water utilities offer turf-replacement rebates when you convert lawn to water-wise landscaping — it's worth checking what your local utility offers before a redesign.
Common questions
- Do I need a full design, or can you just improve part of my yard?
- Either works. Some customers want a complete plan; others want one bed, one slope, or one problem area fixed. We'll scope the work to what you actually want done.
- What plants do well in the Denver area?
- Plenty — the key is matching plants to our zone 5b–6a winters, intense sun, and dry air. We favor proven performers for your specific site conditions and will walk you through choices during design.
- How long does a landscaping project take?
- It ranges from a day for a small bed refresh to several weeks for a full redesign. Once we see the property and agree on scope, we'll give you a realistic timeline before work starts.
