Landscaping & Design
Landscapes designed for how you live, and where you live.
It starts with a plan that fits your yard, your budget, and this climate. We build yards that look good the day we finish and better as they fill in.
Layout, plants, bed shapes, materials. We can redo the whole yard or fix one area at a time as budget allows.
After 20+ years here we stick to plants that hold up to our sun, hail, dry air, and winters. We'll also tell you up front how much upkeep a design needs, so you can pick the level you want to live with.

Field notes
What 20+ years here taught us
Most of the Denver metro is USDA zone 5b to 6a, so everything we plant is rated for those winters.
Denver gets about 14 to 15 inches of moisture a year. Grouping plants by how much water they need makes the whole yard cheaper and easier to irrigate.
A lot of Colorado utilities pay rebates for pulling out lawn. Worth checking your city's program before a redesign.
Common questions
- Do I need a full design, or can you just improve part of my yard?
- Either works. Some people want the whole plan, some want one bed, one slope, or one problem area fixed. We'll scope it to what you actually want done.
- What plants do well in the Denver area?
- Plenty of them. The trick is matching the plant to our winters, our sun, and our dry air. We'll walk you through the options for your site during design.
- How long does a landscaping project take?
- A day for a small bed refresh, a few weeks for a full redesign. Once we see the property and agree on the scope, you get a real timeline before we start.
